Often referred to as the ‘Deuce and a Quarter’ this Land Yacht from 1969’s name ‘Electra 225’ relates to the overall length in inches, and at almost 19ft / 6 meters long, is one of the longest cars to come out of America in the 60’s.
The 360bhp 430Cu inch engine (7ltrs) was deemed too small in the HP battle of the late 60’s and was quickly replaced by a 7.5Ltr (455Cu in) engine in 1970.
Now quite rare in the USA, this 1969 2-door Coupe is believed to be the only one currently in the UK.
Repainted in recent years and riding on air-bags, the modern Large Diameter steel wheels were pressed in one of the old steel-pressing factories in DownTown Detroit.
