AC Cobra – Gardner Douglas GD427

A Gardner Douglas replica of the Shelby AC Cobra 427 Mk3. It is running a slightly modified Chevy LS2 6 Litre fuel injected V8 with a Tremec TKO600 gearbox and the more traditional under-slung exhaust. The running gear is from an XJ6 and fitted with an XJS limited slip diff. This was built up over a period of nearly 10 years, completing in 2011 with the registration being on 11th November, so became christened “Poppy”. We are out in most weathers in the summer months, using a soft top when it is not quite so sunny!
