This Austin Healey BJ7 or Mark IIa was built as a a left hand drive car and exported to Ship and Shore Motors West Palm Beach, Florida. It returned in the 1990’s with a California plate and went through rebuild as a right hand drive with the previous owner at DJ Groves in Hampshire. It was then that it acquired a period correct British registration. Originally old English white with black interior, the car was resprayed a British Racing Green with cream side panels and matching leather interior, finished off with 60 spoke wire wheels, now shod with Michelin XAS tyres. The present owner acquired the car in 2008 and has worked to make the car a more complete package for touring in the UK and Europe. Modifications include fast road engine, uprated brakes and suspension and conversion to LED lighting.
