It is a series 3 Elise 2018 and weighs around 900 kg. It has a 1.8 toyota derived engine which is fitted with a supercharger and puts out 218 BHP. It ca n reach 60MPH in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 145MPH.
The chassis is built from extruded aluminium which has been bonded together and the body is moulded in glass fibre. It can achieve 40 MPG due to its light weight which also extends the life of tyres and brakes and therefore cheap to own. My previous Elise which I had owned for 13 years sold for more than I had payed for it. I love it! When people tell me it is unpracticle and ask “what can you get in it” I smile and reply “petrol”
