Marcos Mantara 400 Spyder

Launched in 1992, with a re-vamped body, updated interior & modified front suspension to use McPherson struts this is a proper British, factory, hand-built Marcos, which still retains the Dennis Adams 1964 style. Rear wheel drive from a Rover ‘A’ Class 3.9lt, naturally aspirated, v8 engine with 16 overhead valves providing 190bhp at 4750rpm, with a kerb weight of 1020kg, provides 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds and a top speed of around 140mph from a 5-speed manual gearbox.
All Marcos cars from this model onwards were Factory, Hand Built to Customer Specifications.
A total of 137 Mentara’s were produced from 1992 to 1998. However, only 101 were factory built 3.9 v8’s. There were also 8 x 4.6lt, 1x 2.0lt & 26 x 2.0lt GTS (Turbo Tomcat) variants.
This car has: Metallic, pearlescent Dragon Green paint. Unique rear colour coded under spoiler. Unique front daylight running lights & high-level lights in the roll bar & a unique new style fully lined and customised hood plus electrically operated pedals adjustment (the seats do not move).
This car was one of only seven, full size, road legal, Marcos Cars chosen for the display hall at the Classic British Welcome in Saint Saturnin, France, prior to the Le Mans 24hr race of 2017, depicting the Marcos Mantara.
