Unusual and rare car. Based on a 1996 Nissan Micra 5 door. Sold by Nissan to a Japanese company called Mitsuoka (8th largest car selling company in the world). Mitsuoka remove the front and the rear of the Micra and fit their own hand built steel bodywork to make the car look like a miniature 1960s Jaguar.. saloon. Body re-sprayed by Mitsuoka to grey from original blue. Brakes are front disks, rear drums, powered. Power steering. Automatic gearbox with CVT using magnetic steel balls via an electrical charge.
When bought this was, basically, a wreck or not far off one. Paintwork lifted in a number of places had to be redone and sprayed, .New sills both sides, all new chrome work , seats in reasonable condition but new covers fitted. Full service carried out – all new fluids. Underneath and inside new sills sprayed with cavity wax. Much else done and it now runs well and looks good and very unusual – a bit of a head turner. Most done by me except for the paintwork and the sills – done by professionals. Small amount of work still required.
I believe – without confirmation, that there are perhaps only twenty of so in the country – or possibly less.
