A rare ‘Beautiful beast’ kitcar, one of around seven designed and supplied as a kit by the late legendary John Raffo. This one was rather poorly built with amateurish wiring causing many problems when award-winning designer craftsman Jeremy Broun (pronounced Broon) bought it in 2010. He has since stripped it apart and re-built it (work still in progress) transfering the Zetec power train and wiring loom from a Mk2 Ford Fiesta and with several modifications such as a removeable rear end, re-styled headlamps and sculpted plywood dashboard. The project has served to offer valuable work experience a few hours a week for local youngsters wanting to use their hands and learn how cars work. These are immensely useful transferrable skills. The project is well documented on Jeremy Broun’s YouTube channel (Woodomain) and a work experience link is on his website www.jeremybroun.co.uk /work-experience.
