The Wolseley 4/44 was designed by Gerald palmer and appeared at the 1952 Motor Show complete with a 1250cc Nuffield XP engine (XPAW to be precise), column gear change, rack and pinion steering and independent front suspension.
It’s 1250cc engine produced 46bhp propelling the car to 60mph in 30 seconds with a top speed of 73mph.
ROX795 was purchased in June 1955 costing £868 18s 10d which included optional extras: a fog lamp, windscreen washers & wing mirrors.
The car has covered approximately 30,000 miles over its 69 years and is largely original with the only major works being a respray in 1994 costing £1000 and in 2008 the bumpers re-chromed costing £311.38.
The current owner purchased the car in 2021 and regularly attends local car club events & shows.
